This is a feature animation produced by DisneyToon Studios in Tokyo, Japan. Disney's Animated Piglet's Big Movie has been released by Walt Disney Pictures and Buena Vista Distribution and came out 2003. It is based on the original work of A. A. Milne.
In this movie, Piglet faces his shame and self-pity of being small. He fortunately, learns that being himself and that are not so bad. The 3 flashback sequences are based from the original A.A. Milne stories.
However, this has been edited to make Piglet the hero of the stories and be at center stage. Disney has really tried to retain much of the original plot and story line. Sherman Brothers music, along with Carly Simon songs has been featured.
This had earned $6,097,758 on its opening weekend. The U.S. Box Office has the figures in total for the film which was $23,103,423. Sadly, only about half the amount from The Tigger Movie released three years prior.
Disney's Animated Piglet's Big Movie received another $39,767,123 from revenues overseas in total of $62,870,546. This is considered having attained a moderate Box Office Success. The film also received positively and great for kids.
Directed by Francis Glebas and written by A.A. Milne and Brian Hohlfeld. The voice casts include John Fiedler as Piglet, Jim Cummings as Winnie-the-Pooh/Tigger, Ken Sansom as Rabbit, Nikita Hopkins as Roo, and Kath Soucie as Kanga. Others are Peter Cullen as Eeyore, Andre Stojka as Owl, and Tom Wheatley as Christopher Robin.
Music is by Carly Simon, Richard M. Sherman, and Robert B. Sherman. This is distributed by11 Walt Disney Pictures. The release date was last March 16, 2003. It has been nominated for an Annie Award's Outstanding Effects Animation in 2004.
Running time is 75 minutes and made in the USA, so naturally the language used is English. This has been preceded by Winnie the Pooh: A Very Merry Pooh Year (2002). It is followed by111 Winnie the Pooh: Springtime with Roo (2004).
