Disney's Animated Mulan is produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation, and was released by Walt Disney Pictures on June 19, 1998. This is 36th animated feature film and part of the Disney Renaissance. This is based on the Chinese legend, Hua Mulan.
The legend of Hua Mulan tells the story of young woman who disguised herself as a man to take the place of her old father to join the army, without him knowing. The story can be traced back to the Ballad of Mulan. She was estimated to have lived in 386-534 during the Northern Wei dynasty. Her heroic act is made her one of the most China's greatest heroes.
Moreover, this is the first of the three produced at the animation studio at Disney-MGM studios in Orlando, Florida. Its genres are Animation, Adventure, Drama, Family, and Musical. Disney Mulan has the tagline of 'The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all.'
